Gerber files with Arcs outputted from EasyGerb look great in the Gerber viewer, but when I received the plot the arcs were segmented.
If I understand correctly, I believe the problem is with the plotting service you are using. As I mentioned before many of them have trouble handling "true arcs" in gerber files and will flatten them before plotting. To prove my point, please load the sample gerber file I sent you (0.gbr) into a high quality gerber viewer (ViewMate, GCPrevue,or FAB 3000). When viewing in these tools you will see that the arcs are correctly there; thus the gerber file is correct. The photo plotting service you're using is most likely using another type of software tool to load the gerber file into their plotter which is fracturing the arc and resulting in the straight lines. To prove this point, I'd recommend trying the following: 1. Show the differences on the plot from the gerber file (as displayed in the gerber viewers mentioned above), and see what your plotting service says. 2. Try another plotting service like: Advanced Reproductions, D03*, or Artnet. We don't recommend one plotting server over another, however I've personally reviewed films from these plotting services and they correctly handled complex gerber polygons with "true arcs". Remember, EasyGerb will only create the gerber file (from AutoCAD). It is up to you to work with and choose a plotting service to provide the quality film you require. Note: You can always turn-off circular interpolation (i.e output arcs) in the EasyGerb "options..." tab to output nice appears gerbers without arcs.
